THE STORY

Written by Alexandra Christie

Once there was a girl who fell in love with a constellation.

She should be forgiven for this, as the constellation Argo Navis was a proud and flirtatious being who oft seduced young women.

His beauty was radiant, and he would ensnare them with the many tales of great ships built in his image. When he inevitably broke their hearts they experienced an agony beyond any other. Argo pretended not to notice as women suffered in his wake.

This girl though, she was different.

When the time came for Argo to release her, she refused to be let go. She fashioned herself a fishing rod of ironbark and human hair, and reeled him down to her. She wove him into a translucent veil, grounding him to herself and her world for as long as she desired.

People still whisper about her - The Constellation Witch -

the woman who stole the great ship from the southern sky.
