Empyrean, the brightest point in heaven, a pure radiant light with a warmth stronger than the fire of a thousand stars. 

A beacon of virtue. In devout cosmology, it is the place where souls ascend and settle, high above the clouds, where they can shine down upon the living as lodestars of guiding light for generations to come.

When Dante reached Paradiso he could not withstand looking upon the golden blazing sun. Instead, his mind interpreted the heavenly light though the eyes of his true love Beatrice. To him she was transcendence incarnate. 

She was the light at the end of the tunnel; the divine spark that pushed him through the inferno so he could be reunited with her; his muse.
